On August 29, 2025, Defending Education (DE) joined Pacific Legal Foundation and the Center for Equal Opportunity in a comment to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. The groups support the Department’s plan to rescind regulations that encourage race and sex discrimination in apprenticeship programs, including requirements for affirmative action plans. Rescinding these rules will help make sure Americans are treated as individuals, not just as members of racial or sex groups.
