Legal Action

We hold educational institutions accountable through federal litigation, administrative complaints, regulatory comments, and amicus briefs to protect parental rights, free speech, transparency, and viewpoint neutrality.

Defending Education uses legal action to protect free speech, parental rights, equal treatment, transparency, and the free exchange of ideas across K–12 and higher education. Our work includes federal litigation involving constitutional and statutory claims, as well as administrative complaints filed with federal agencies including the Department of Education, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Department of Justice.

We also submit formal comments on federal regulations affecting education and support legal allies through amicus briefs in cases involving parental rights, free speech, equal protection, and other issues central to our mission.
