Coalition of 27 Organizations Send Letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona Expressing Concerns with Forthcoming Rewrite of Title IX Sex Discrimination Rules

Press Releases

On April 26, 2022, a coalition of 27 organizations, representing 393,823 members, sent a letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona to express deep concerns over the U.S. Department of Education’s forthcoming rewrite of Title IX sex discrimination rules. Specifically, any moves to rescind the much-needed Title IX reforms which were enacted in 2020, as they strengthened and reinforced basic due process and civil rights protections, as well as the Department’s purported incorporation of “gender identity” into Title IX regulations.
