On April 26, 2022, a coalition of 27 organizations representing 393,823 members, including Parents Defending Education, sent a letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona raising serious concerns about the U.S. Department of Education’s upcoming rewrite of its Title IX sex discrimination rules. The coalition opposes any move to undo the 2020 Title IX reforms, which strengthened basic due process and civil rights protections, and opposes the Department’s plan to add “gender identity” to the Title IX rules.
