On February 9, 2024, Speech First, a national membership group of students, alumni, and others that defends free speech on campus, announced its win in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit against Oklahoma State University (OSU). The press release explains that the district court had dismissed the case because Speech First used pseudonyms for its members, which Speech First does in all its lawsuits to protect students from retaliation by their schools.
