On September 22, 2021, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia granted in part and denied in part Speech First’s motion for a preliminary injunction against Virginia Tech. The court blocked the computer policy’s ban on “intimidation, harassment, and unwarranted annoyance,” but denied relief against the university’s other challenged policies.
