On October 29, 2021, Speech First, a national membership group of students, alumni, and others that defends free speech on campus, filed its reply brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in its challenge to the University of Central Florida (UCF)’s speech policies. Speech First argued that its challenges to the discriminatory-harassment policy and to the bias-related incidents policy enforced by the Just Knights Response Team will likely succeed, and asked the court to enter a preliminary injunction.
