On September 15, 2021, the Liberty Justice Center filed an amicus (“friend of the court”) brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit supporting Speech First’s appeal in its challenge to the University of Central Florida (UCF)’s speech policies. The Liberty Justice Center argued that when university officials use their authority against speech they disapprove of, that chills disfavored speech even if no one is formally punished.
