On September 15, 2021, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) filed an amicus (“friend of the court”) brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit supporting Speech First’s appeal in its challenge to the University of Central Florida (UCF)’s speech policies. ADF argued that universities like UCF use overly broad anti-harassment policies to police speech some people dislike, even though the Supreme Court has given universities a roadmap for regulating harassment without censoring speech.
