On May 30, 2023, the superintendent of Katonah-Lewisboro School District published a message in support of “Pride Month” and claimed that the district “welcomes and affirms all LGBTQ+ students, staff, and members of our community in June and throughout every month of the year.” This is “aligned with our school district’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Education policy which asks that we ‘review District policies and practices to ensure equity and access for all students, with an intentional focus on vulnerable and marginalized populations.'” He then mentions that “Pride flags” will be displayed outside each school:

In June, you can expect to see Pride flags outside each of our schools. We thank you in advance for joining in our efforts to assure that every student and adult feels a strong sense of belonging, every day.

The superintendent of the school district stated that pride flags would be displayed outside each school.
