Centinela Valley Union High School District appears to have an agreement with Planned Parenthood to operate district ‘school-based reproductive health clinics.’ Paid organization $6,945.75 for materials

On August 13, 2024, the school board of Centinela Valley Union High School District appears to have approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles for the organization to operate district health centers or “school-based reproductive health clinics.”

Listed clinic services include “physical examinations relevant to the reproductive health system,” “prescription and/or dispensing of pharmaceuticals related to reproductive health, including contraceptives and antibiotics,” and “referrals for additional medical or other health care services where indicated. Provider may make referrals to other health centers operated by Provider for services not offered at the Schools.”

An additional document related to the contract states:

“To provide reproductive health care and case management services in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in the Wellbeing Centers such as: Education groups, leadership training for students, peer-led wellness activities, support training of school staff/faculty, screening, informing & linkage to enrollment assistance regarding appropriate health access programs, referrals for additional mediacl [sic] or other health care services indicated, laboratory services related to reproductive health, insertion of long acting reversible contraceptives, prescription and/or dispensing of pharmaceuticals related to reproductice [sic] health, including contraceptives and antibiotics, diagnosis and treatment of illness associated with reproductive health, including sexually transmitted diseases, physical examinations relevnt [sic] to reproductive health system and walk-in services.”


A January 2025 Purchase Order document also reveals that the district paid $6,945.75 to Planned Parenthood for “Ed. Material for Biology class from Planned Parenthood.”
