Boise School District board member claims he will defile Governor Brad Little’s grave over decision to ban medical interventions for minors to change their gender

On April 4, 2023, Idaho passed a new law banning medical interventions like puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and surgery for minors who believe themselves to be transgender. On April 5, 2023, Boise School District board member Shiva Rajbhandari made a vulgar remark on Twitter toward Idaho Governor Brad Little in response to the new law. Shiva Rajbhandari tweeted:

Fuck you @GovernorLittle. I pray you live a long life so you can bear witness to the pain you’ve unleashed on Idaho’s children and families today. When you do die though, I’m pissing on your grave.

He added: “This law is unconstitutional. When government begins to intrude on the inalienable rights of the people, it forfeits any form of legitimacy. It is not just our right but our duty to stand up to tyranny. We will never EVER stop fighting for our trans and non-binary youth.”

Shiva Rajbhandari made a vulgar remark toward Governor Brad Little.

On that same day, he made another tweet about concerns regarding his comment. He did not apologize in the statement on the issue. He stated:

I have received some concerns that the language in my last tweet was inappropriate and inconsistent with my position as a school board member. Of course, my tweets are my own only and do not necessarily reflect the views of any organization with which I am affiliated, nor would I engage or condone such sentiment or language in a board meeting or a classroom. My strong language is reflective of my anger and frustration with the pointlessness of diplomatic dialogue with legislators and a governor who have shown such little regard for the lives of Idaho youth. The hypocrisy of suggesting that a profane tweet is more harmful than what HB 71 could unleash on our trans and non-binary youth baffles me. I remain unapologetic in my commitment to our LGBTQ+ community.

The board member did not apologize in a statement following his vulgar comment.

On March 21, 2023, he publicly tweeted what appears to be his idea of mocking people concerned about the lack of parental rights in schools. He stated:

I WON’T BE SILENT ANY LONGER. LIBERALS ARE HIDING LITTER BOXES WITH FREE TAMPONS IN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS THAT ARE TURNING KIDS GAY. THEY’VE REPLACED SANTA WITH A COMMUNIST WHO IS MADE OUT OF PORN. THIS HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH. WE MUST #BANPREMATURECHRISTMASDECORATING.

The board member appeared to mock people concerned with parental rights.

On February 7, 2023, he tweeted that “you’re going down with us” toward people who are advocating against providing children with medical procedures and puberty blockers to transition to another gender. He stated:

Y’all we’re gonna fight for our trans and non-binary siblings ‘til the very end. Idaho is no place for hate. If you get in our way, you’re going down with us. We’re armed with love and rage and we’re never giving up.

He claimed that “you’re going down with us.”

On November 24, 2022, he claimed that “Thanksgiving is a myth” and that he was taking time “to share our true history of colonization & genocide.” He explained:

Quiet reminder that Thanksgiving is a myth. Today, I’m taking some time to share our true history of colonization & genocide with my loved ones. When living on stolen lands, everyday is a great day to #PayRent & stand w/ indigenous organizers in their ongoing fight for justice.

He claimed that “Thanksgiving is a myth.”
