A Vermont elementary school has sent a letter to parents, informing them that teachers will no longer be using terms such as “male” or “female” when they’re teaching fifth-grade students about puberty in health/science education. Parents at the Founders Memorial School received a letter last week from Principal Sara Jablonski, who said that their new way of teaching will reflect the district’s desire for them to use gender-inclusive language.
