Webster Groves School District teacher provides students with worksheet asking what “name” and “pronouns” to use when talking with their parents

On August 23, 2023, the X account (formerly Twitter) WGSD Transparency shared an image of a worksheet for students to fill out from a high school classroom in the Webster Groves School District. The worksheet reportedly asked students their pronouns and if they wanted to be called by certain “name/pronouns” when the teacher contacts parents. This language is often used to keep the gender identity of students a secret from parents. PDE was informed that a chemistry teacher at Webster Groves High School provided students with this worksheet.

PDE submitted a public records request to the school district requesting the worksheet if it existed. PDE received the worksheet from the school district and can verify that it does in fact exist. PDE received the following document from the school district:
