School promotes Halloweeen “Queerfest” with “family friendly” drag show

The Encinitas Union School District used their digital information hub (Peachjar) to promote a “Queerfest” Halloween party that will include a “family friendly” drag show. District officials describe Peachjar as an “optional information hub containing community events and opportunities for families in the district.” Families with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade were invited, through the school information system, to the event which was not sponsored by the school district but was promoted by the district.

The flyer has since been removed from the school’s digital information system.
