Osseo Area Schools implement new LGBTQIA+ History and Culture Resolution; plans for LGBT staff affinity groups

On June 21st, 2022 ISD 279-Osseo Area Schools in Minnesota passed a new resolution “to acknowledge the value of the lives of our trans, lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, queer, intersex, two-spirit, asexual, nonbinary, and gender-expansive scholars and staff.” The resolution outlines a series of new policies for the district ranging from expanded support for the Gender Sexuality Alliance and affiliated clubs to establishing LGBT affinity groups for staff and celebrating an annual flag raising of the LGBT flag.
