In another post following up on the report, the organization showed another sign on the wall in the room that stated: “What is said in here, stays in here.” The room is reportedly “used for detention and in-school suspension, as well as club/group meetings.”

On December 21, 2023, Scottsdale Unites for Educational Integrity reported on X that Scottsdale Unified School District Superintendent Scott Menzel “defended this room and confirmed it is used for student ‘anxiety’ group meetings, lunch detentions, and positive behavior support discussions.” In a video with the superintendent shared in the post, the superintendent acknowledged that students use the room.
