Madison East High School promotes drag show for students in newsletter

Madison East High School has a monthly newsletter titled “Peppy’s Periodical” that is for “students, staff, families, and community.” In the January 2023 newsletter, the principal promotes what she calls a “family friendly” drag show that will take place on January 19. She explains in the newsletter:

I’m proud to highlight our GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) organization for all of the hard work they do to promote a supportive and inclusive environment. Our GSA has been working hard to plan East’s first annual, (family friendly) drag show intended to celebrate, affirm, and support EHS students and staff in our LGBTQIA+ as well as our larger school community. The drag show is scheduled for the evening of January 19th. The community is invited!
