Las Cruces publishes policy draft in the name of being “gender inclusive”; includes changes to curriculum, student records and restroom access

Las Cruces Public Schools is following the national trend around the issue of gender identity and gender expansiveness in schools. They have published a draft of a policy titled, “Gender Inclusive Schools.”

The document ends with the following statement:

The Superintendent shall promulgate a regulation for the enforcement of this
policy which includes key terms, communication and the use of names and
pronouns, student records, confidential health and education information,
communication, restroom and locker room accessibility, sports and physical
education, dress codes and other school activities, safe spaces, and other essential
components.
