Parents Defending Education submitted a public records request to Laramie County School district requesting documents and emails regarding Panorama Education. PDE received what appears to be two contracts between the school district and Panorama Education dated February 2, 2023, and April 20, 2023.
The first contract is for a total $16,800 over 12 months. The services in the contract include “Teacher & Staff Surveys” and “Foundations Teaching & Learning Package,” which is “recommended support for surveys.”
The second contract is for a total $13,800 for one year. The services in the contract include “survey administration, analysis and reporting” and “Family Surveys.”
PDE received a document of questions from Panorama for family surveys in an email. One statement for families to consider is: “The school does not communicate well with people from your culture.”
Additional questions include:
- What is your gender?
- What is your child’s gender?
- What is your race or ethnicity?
In an email dated June 7, 2023, PDE found a document of the 2022-2023 results for community and family surveys.
Superintendent Margaret Crespo also created a video promoting surveys.
