The Grant Community High School District 124 has a page online labeled as “Wellness Supports & Resources.” A section on this page is dedicated to “LGBTQ+” resources. One resource listed is the Open Door Health Center of Illinois. In the description for this health clinic, the school district openly states that the clinic provides hormone therapy to children. The district explains:
Open Door, in addition to providing counseling services to transgender and gender non-conforming people, provides hormone therapy for those undergoing transition. Open Door offers a wide range of medical and behavioral health services at its three locations.
The health center’s website explains that “our inclusive approach to healthcare includes services that cater to the unique needs of the transgender community.”
