A concerned parent shared images for a survey for children from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) titled “National Youth Tobacco Survey 2025.” These images of the survey showed questions regarding gender identity and sexual orientation. Parents Defending Education attempted to access the survey, but the survey is locked behind a “Class ID.”
A question on the surveys asks: “Which of the following best describes your gender?” Options include “nonbinary, genderfluid, or genderqueer” and “I am not sure or I am questioning.” Another question asks children: “Are you transgender?” One question asks students for their sexual orientation with options such as “gay or lesbian,” “bisexual, pansexual, or queer,” and “asexual.”
