Allegheny Valley School District provides staff with training on transgender issues

Incidents

The Allegheny Valley School District provided staff with “Title IX Training” that is dated June 9, 2021. The training involved teaching staff about transgender issues, including the idea that Title IX applies to transgender students. The presentation included three legal cases. Two cases that were listed focused on courts mandating that children be allowed to use restrooms according to their perceived gender identity. One case listed as an example was Bostock v. Clayton County. However, this case specifically targets Title VII.
