One resource that the school district created is a document titled “MCPASD LGBTQ+ Resource Guide.”
The district’s document contains a resource titled “Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Health (PATH) Clinic” that links to a page promoting gender transitions for minors from the University of Wisconsin Hospital (UW Health). The hospital’s page is titled “Supporting transgender, nonbinary, gender questioning and gender diverse youth.” UW Health explains “that this is a hard time for many of our LBGTQ+ patients and families.” Services include “observation, advocacy, and guidance to puberty suppression and gender-affirming hormone therapy.” The hospital explains that personalized support and treatments include “gender-affirming hormone therapy,” “hormone/puberty suppression,” “mental health counseling,” and “support services for kids and families.”
