Newton South High School plans student panels, a drag performance and a talk about “queers and allies” for LGBTQ+ Awareness Day

Newton South High School put out a schedule of events for “LGBTQ+ Awareness” on December 19th. In addition to student panels, the schedule includes a drag performance by a former school committee member. (What most people think of as an elected school board is called a “school committee” in Massachusetts.) At the end of the day, a professor from Boston University will lead a “Theater of the Oppressed Workshop.” Each scheduled event includes a short summary — see below.
