INDEPENDENT WOMEN’S NETWORK: PLEDGE TO PARENTS

Resources

Trust between parents and their public schools has taken a major hit since Covid shutdowns in 2020. Our hope at Defending Education is that public schools across America will begin the hard job of improving communication with parents, increase school-to-parent transparency, and return the focus of schools back to education, rather than ideological and political causes.

To that end, the Independent Women’s Network has created a first of its kind Pledge to Parents. The Pledge is meant to be an important step in restoring shared educational values, priorities and transparency with the schools and the people who have the greatest impact on the success of students – their parents.

We urge you to review and share this Pledge. Present it to your school board. Ask them to sign on. If they won’t, ask them why.

We thank the Independent Women’s Network for their leadership on this, and for creating the Pledge to Parents.

Freedom Academy in Arizona is the first school board in the nation to commit to the pledge. See the signing here
