What is Cultures Connecting?

Cultures Connecting is a consulting company that, according to its website, provides “culturally relevant” professional development, keynotes, consulting, coaching and “one-on-one diversity leadership support to organizations committed to improving their ability to work effectively across cultures.”

What K-12 work has Cultures Connecting done?

WASHINGTON

Bainbridge Island School District #303

In documents received from the school district in response to a public records request, the school district paid $159.24 (p. 235) for a ticket to an event, “Equity Leaders Unite,” by Cultures Connecting on June 26, 2017. While it’s a small dollar amount, the expenditure reveals how school districts pay for this indoctrination of staff to the controversial ideas of outside consultants, using taxpayer money.

Furthermore, the school district had a contract (pages 249-250) with Cultures Connecting LLC/Ilsa Marie Govan on Oct. 31, 2016, for $7,500 to do “cultural competency training sessions for BISD administrators.”

Radnor Township School District

The Radnor Township School District has gone all in on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) including spending nearly $12,000 on a one-day training for administrators and the “Equity Team.”
