Emails reveal Executive Director of Massachusetts School Committee Association was “very happy” that NSBA reached out to the FBI

Press Releases

On October 11th, Parents Defending Education reached out to every state school board association to find out if they had been consulted before the National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent their letter to the Biden administration calling out parents as potential domestic terrorists and asking for help from federal law enforcement.

Twenty-three state associations have officially distanced themselves from the letter and five state associations have withdrawn completely from the the NSBA.

We received no response from the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MSCA) so we decided to file a public records request to see if we could get a sense of their position. It turns out that Glenn Koocher, executive director of the MSCA, was so happy about the letter that he put it in an email to NSBA CEO, Chip Slavin. (PDF of emails can be downloaded above.)
