Coalition of 16 Organizations Send Letter to American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten Expressing Concerns with the Recent Adoption by Two AFT Affiliates of Anti-Semitic Resolutions

Press Releases

On June 15, 2021, a coalition of 16 organizations sent a letter to AFT President Randi Weingarten to express grave concerns with the recent adoption by two American Federation of Teachers (AFT) affiliates in San Francisco and Los Angeles of anti-Semitic resolutions that falsely accuse Israel of “apartheid and war crimes” and that formally endorse the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) movement – and that the AFT has not condemned this egregious embrace of anti-Semitism by the United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) and United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) or demanded that the AFT affiliates repeal the resolutions.
