The mission of Calvert Parents for Education is to support students learning to think critically about all political concepts, not be indoctrinated into them. Calvert Parents for Education believes it is important to:

1. recognize the individuality and unique character of students,
2. to encourage critical thinking and open debate of all sides of an issue,
3. encourage educational opportunities for all students to be challenged and learn to their fullest potential, whether they are academically advanced or underperforming,
4. to reject stereotyping and superficial generalization of students based on gender, religion, and superficial external characteristics like skin color, and
5. to identify and expose subtle, inadvertent, and overt efforts to indoctrinate students to discriminatory ideologies, political movements, and efforts to promote class and racial conflict.
