Iowa School District’s Policy on Gender Identity Partly Blocked

An Iowa school district’s policy outlining how to address the needs of transgender and gender-conforming students is too vague in part, the Eighth Circuit ruled Friday, reversing a lower court’s preliminary injunction denial.

The ruling is a partial victory for Parents Defending Education. The expressed mission of the nationwide organization is to prevent K-12 education from being politicized, the court said.
