On April 16th, the club posted a “Meet William and Mary’s Board of Butchers” series on Instagram with the caption, “We’re back! Learn even more about how our Board of Visitors are complicit in the genocide against Palestinians.”

Tinting all the photos of board members to a red hue with a black outline, the series details “questionable activity” by the board members, including their specific backgrounds, employment, and more. The first slide in a gothic font reads, “Swipe to see her questionable activity on LinkedIn…”

Previously, in November 2025, the club posted a similar photo series on the Board of Visitors reading, “Meet the New Members of William & Mary’s Board of Butchers.” The club wrote, “These individuals…are linked to despicable figures and companies.”

In the following slides, the students took headshots of the Board of Visitors, put black marks over their face, and included dripping blood at the top of their photos.

Next to each member’s photo, students compiled a list of the member’s offenses, including their employment history and information regarding their personal lives and companies.

In August 2025, National Students for Justice in Palestine posted a manifesto online reading, “Today arms manufacturers, war profiteers, and genocidaires occupy its highest ranks as trustees. In order for us to remove the imperial university as a roadblock to the struggle for Palestinian liberation, we must dismantle its structure — starting with these Boards of Butchers.”

The manifesto continued, critiquing western civilization. According to the document, the Board of Trustees (or Visitors, depending on the university structure) “represent the ruling class on our campuses and are extensions of imperial power, capitalist accumulation, and the police state.”

The manifesto continued, “It has become clear that student resolutions and shows of support can only take us so far. In order for us to advance our struggle on campus, we must move past building popular support as its own end. The Board does not uphold popular sentiment, it upholds imperialism. Any action we take must be strategic.”

The Student Code of Conduct at the College prohibits students from “Causing physical harm, threatening harm to any person, or behaving in a manner that a reasonable person would find alarming or intimidating.”
