Wilson County Schools in process of adopting $179,700 contract with Panorama Education

Wilson County Schools is in the process of approving a new contract with Panorama Education for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents Defending Education received the contract from a concerned community member. If the contract is approved, the school district will pay Panorama a total of $179,700 for one year of service. This is split into $176,700 for the “annual license fee” and $3,000 for “professional development.” The contract includes climate surveys for students to help implement Social Emotional Learning (SEL). The following services are provided with the Panorama contract:

  • Annual Licenses:
    • All licenses include access to Platform and Support (as defined in the Terms and Conditions): Survey administration, analysis and reporting.
      • Dashboards and reporting for teachers, student support staff, school administrators, and district administrators.
      • Ongoing Project Management and Technical support through the length of the contract.
    • Panorama Student Success Platform
      • Ongoing integration of Synergy and standard filters into Student Success platform. Includes behavior, attendance, coursework, rosters, and demographics.
      • Ongoing integration of i-Ready, ACT, CASE, and TCAP into Student Success platform. Additional assessments may be requested throughout the contract term (integration timeline for additional assessments may vary).
      • Behavior analytics reporting. Includes: Incident Action; Incident Outcome; Month; Day of the Week; Severity (Major/Minor); Location.
      • Intervention tracking.
    • Student Climate Surveys and SEL: Platform License
      • Student Surveys.
  • Services:
    • Foundations Pack (Virtual): Includes up to two virtual workshops from Panorama’s core offerings menu. Each workshop includes a consultative planning session with a professional learning specialist and up to 2 hours of virtual facilitation for groups <50 (Larger sessions can be supported as interactive webinars, and additional facilitators can be added for breakout rooms or chat moderation at an additional cost).

Panorama Education Inc. is an organization known for helping schools throughout the country survey the race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity of students in an effort to push “equity and inclusion” in school systems. The organization offers an “Equity and Inclusion Survey” to “help schools and districts track the progress of equity initiatives through the lens of students and staff, identify areas for celebration and improvement, inform professional development, and signal the importance of equity and inclusion to the community.”

Panorama Education promotes an “Equity and Inclusion Survey” in an effort to push equity throughout the country’s schools.
