Tilden Middle School teacher makes antisemitic claims on social media; calls the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel a hoax

On November 16, 2023, The Washington Post reported that a teacher at Tilden Middle School within Montgomery County Public Schools “is on leave after screenshots of a Facebook post purported to show her falsely claiming that the Oct. 7 Hamas music festival massacre that killed 260 was a hoax.” The newspaper explained that she “teaches world studies in addition to diversity, equity and inclusion” at the middle school. Regarding the Hamas terrorist attack on an Israeli festival, she reportedly stated:

Debunked! No music festival attack. Babies were not burned. Women were not violated. Hospitals were attacked on purpose.

The Washington Post also reported that she posted about false conspiracy theories by saying that “Palestinian’s are being killed and their organs are being sold. How is real life scarier than the movies??”

The school district explained to the newspaper that the teacher was placed on administrative leave and that “an investigation was underway.”
