Madison Metropolitan School District wants its staff to “discover, disrupt and dismantle” in the name of antiracism.

The Madison Metropolitan School District “Anti-Racism Resources for Educators” website states, “MMSD educators and staff now have a comprehensive anti-racist curriculum with lessons, videos, vocabulary, audio projects, downloadable learning materials and a wealth of resources accessible to teachers to bring more structure and intentionality to topics about race, biases and social justice.”

In a back to school letter published on the school’s website, the Superintendent places an emphasis on becoming an anti-racist district:

The school also owns its own MMSD Anti-Racism Website dedicated to the words Discover, Disrupt, and Dismantle.


The following message went out in the Madison Metropolitan District on May 17, 2021 regarding a recent contest called the BIG Ideas Pitch Event. In addition to the 10 winners, they decided to fund four additional ideas because they represented a commitment to “antiracist teaching.”
