Unified School District may be currently running a race and sex-based programming focusing on “young men of color.” The district has paid over $337,500 for the organization to facilitate the programming.

West Contra Costa Unified School District signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the consultant Improve Your Tomorrow, Inc. (IYT) for programming exclusively for “young men of color” from August 14, 2023 through June 30, 2024 using Title I funds at a cost of $67,500 for the year.

According to a district documented review of the program, it intended to renew the contract for the 2024-2025 school year. A current contract does not appear publicly available.

In 2022, the district signed a one-year agreement with Improve Your Tomorrow, Inc. for its programming focused on “young men of color” using Title I funds at a cost of $270,000.
