Concord Carlisle High School History Class Encourages Only One Viewpoint

In a Grade 10 US History class at Concord Carlisle High School in Concord, Massachusetts, students were given the attached prompt to read a Washington Post article about George Floyd’s life and to create a slide about “one form of systemic racism, how it impacted Mr. Floyd’s life and how he responded.”

Students were not provided with an opportunity to engage the subject matter critically.

PDE requested comment from Concord Carlisle High School and did not receive a reply.
