Ames Community School District: FOIA filed - Parents Defending Education

In March 2021, Parents Defending Education filed a FOIA request with the Ames Community School District. The request included all documents related to the district’s Black Lives Matter Week of Action. The request included contracts with outside diversity, equity and inclusion consultants or advisors regarding the “Black Lives Matter Week of Action” and all material used during the “Week of Action,” including costs. The request also included curriculum changes and in school activities related to social justice and political activism between 2017 and 2021.
